Succesful Fundraiser

On Monday the twenty ninth of November we had a bubble and grape tea sale along with some fidget spinners. The sale went really well and we have managed to make around 3,000 THB. Hand2Paw also went to the Citylife fair last weekend and managed to make 14,000 THB. There will be more fundraisers in the future but what we have achieved so far has been satisfactory. We hope to continue our efforts in fundraising and taking care of dogs.

Tuesday Temple Visits

On Tuesdays Hand2Paw has decided to combine the Thursday activity with Tuesday's. This is a small change since we used to visit separate temples on separate days. Now, we will alternate between Wat Sua Nawaa and what Huay Fai. This week is our second visit of the term. Some new faces have joined us again and it's very heartwarming to see students returning to the activity. Tuesday was very productive and fun for all those involved.

What other activities do we do on weekdays?

Quick post about our weekday activities. Apart from fundraising and independent rescues, Hand 2 Paw wants to be consistent when caring for these dogs. Working with PTIS students allows Hand 2 Paw to organise weekly visits to temples to keep caring for the dogs. This is a very good way to connect with our local community and have fun while also working towards a good cause.

Resuming our activities

Hello! Hand 2 Paw is back and ready to resume our activities! The many members of our group have been working on creating events and fundraisers. If any major events are coming up, information will be on the blog. We also have a youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbkUOctjaIjsZJacZMubDFw). We hope to bring happiness and wellbeing to the many street dogs who deserve better.

5/10/2017

Due to technical issues I wasn't able to make a post last week. Students have been participating in the Hand 2 Paw activity for about eight weeks now. They have been getting well aquatinted with the dogs of Wat Sua Nawaa. All the students have had a very fun and enjoyable experience working with Hand 2 Paw. Last Thursday was no different, all students got to work, cleaning the dogs and making sure they're flea free. Happy faces all around, ending the school term on a high note. Our activities will return again around the 5th of November.

Hand 2 Paw Rescue at Wat Kio Lae

Last, week as we have said before, Hand 2 Paw Prem visited Wat Kio Lae at Doi Saket to help some of the dogs there. When Hand 2 Paw first arrived at the temple, the dogs looked to be in very bad condition. Some had wounds, a lot of them had lice eggs and were very dirty. Hand 2 Paw started by getting rid of lice eggs, then moved on to vaccinating them. Hand 2 Paw coudn't get all the dogs vaccinated sing we do not want to force the dogs who aren't very accepting about it. This has been our third visit to Wat Kio Lae and a lot of progress has been made. We plan to organise more visits in the future. The dogs are looking a lot happier and we hope to keep them happy.

Temple Dog Rescue and Last Thursday

Hand2Paw Prem has been hard at work. Recently we have visited a temple at Doi Saket to help many of the dogs there. They looked to be in bad condition(some had wounds, lice eggs, lice, fleas) so we had to act. We helped the dogs successfully and they are now looking better than before. Full in-depth article coming soon.

Last Thursday (14/9/2017), Hand2Paw's group returned to help the temple dogs of Wat Sua Nawaa. Compared to the first week, the students look a lot more comfortable in handling the dogs. All the students were very enthusiastic and keen to have fun and socialise with the dogs.

7/9/2017 and New donation page

Hello everyone, we would like to tell you that donations welcome and well appreciated. However, the current donation link is old and does not work. We have created a new donation page (http://fnd.us/81H9I5?ref=sh_36pip0) and we would be very happy if you pitched in with what you can. Every donation helps.

Thursday was a very productive time. This week, the group was smaller than usual, some members were very busy. The group didn't let that stop them from going to bathe the dogs. We return to the same temple we have been at the past few weeks and spent some time bathing and playing with the dogs. Our numbers were down, but that didn't stop us from having fun.

August Progress Update and Thursday Temple Visit

Over the past months, Hand 2 Paw has had a very successful time in helping many animals. In the past three months, we have been able to sterilise over 20 animals! In September, more animals are due for sterilisation. In August alone, 50 local dogs have been vaccinated and we hope to help more!

Last Thursday (31/8/17), Hand 2 Paw went to visit the dogs of Wat Sua Nawaa again! We will be making frequent visits to this temple throughout the year. All the dogs have said goodbye to their fleas. They were very obedient and easy to bathe for the members of Hand 2 Paw. Both the dogs and students had a lot of fun playing together, although it was a bit hot out. Thursday was a very fun and productive day!

24/8/2017

Last week on Thursday was the first temple visit of the school year! This was a great way to start of resuming our activities. We had many new students who were very excited to join Hand 2 Paw. The group visited Wat Sua Nawaa to take care of the dogs. Upon their arrival they were greeted by some very cute dogs! Some of the students seem a bit stiff when washing the dogs. This isn't much of a surprise since some of them are new. However, this was a very minor concern as they had a lot of fun taking care of the dogs. After getting  their bath, the dogs look very satisfied! Here is a quick look at Thursday:
